Kevin Toney bio
A 2x Grammy nominated, award-winning pianist, composer, author and speaker is a true modern music renaissance artist. Kevin gained international fame in the mid1970's as a founding member of The Blackbyrds, legendary band founded by jazz trumpet legend and educator Donald Byrd. Some of their biggest hits include Walking In Rhythm and Rock Creek Park. As a solo artist, Kevin has released 12 acclaimed albums and his songs Kings and Aphrodisiac are staples at jazz radio. Kevin’s recent work includes arranging and composing for Diana Ross orchestra performances, new arrangements and music for “Craig Ross – Monogamy” Season 1 and 2. Kevin’s composition,  “Fireworks Celebration Suite 2018” received its world premier performance from the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra. Beyond his own music, Toney has performed with the world’s best Artist including Aretha Franklin, Sonny Rollins, Nancy Wilson, Frank Sinatra, Kenny Burrell, Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, Shania Twain, Isaac Hayes, Sonny Stitt, Carl Anderson, Shirley Caesar, Oscar Brown Jr., Edwin Hawkins, Pink, Ray Parker Jr., Andrew White, Bobby Womack, Norman Brown and more. As an author, Kevin’s books include Super Glue Your Love Relationship and The Virtuous Man ~ Breaking The Men's Code. Kevin’s awards and achievements included, two Grammy nominations, three RIAA Gold Record awards, Hall Of Fame Inductee to California Jazz and Blues Museum, a NAACP Image Award, National Endowment For The Arts Fellowship Grant, Who’s Who In America’ multiple year listings and is a member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity.

Azar Lawrence Bio

Azar is on fire! Shortly after John Coltrane's death in 1967, Azar Lawrence, at just 19 years old, was chosen by Elvin Jones (for 3.5 years) then McCoy Tyner (for 5 years) to fill the shoes of Mr. Coltrane. Azar recorded and played with Miles Davis on his Dark Magus album, wrote and recorded with Earth, Wind & Fire, Marvin Gaye, Freddie Hubbard and Phyllis Hyman to name a few! Azar has released over 10 albums as a leader an is a world renown recording and performing artist. His2018 album, Elementals, garnered such reviews as "Azar Lawrence sounds more like John Coltrane than John Coltrane ever did" Chris May, London Times, a humbling review.  Azar continues to roar with his 8 piece ensemble, The Azar Lawrence Experience, sizzling to the sound of Azar's original compositions from Elementals and Concord's reissued Bridge into the New Age & the 1976 Summer Solstice album! #ItsGoingToBeHot!

Johnny Britt Bio

Early on, Britt immersed himself deeply into jazz, meeting the artform’s icons and legends and studying diligently to become a classically trained jazz trumpet player at The Versailles Conservatory near Paris, France. He is no stranger to the contemporary side of jazz having composed material for some of the genre’s stars, including three No. 1 hits for Boney James and songs for Rick Braun, Euge Groove and Paul Brown. The tunesmith also wrote for R&B singer Peabo Bryson and Motown legends The Temptations, the latter for whom he served as musical director. He was co-music producer for the Emmy-winning miniseries “The Temptations.” Britt landed a record deal with Motown’s MoJazz label for a forward-thinking project he created called Impromp2 that blended hip hop, soul and jazz, releasing four albums. Britt debuted as a solo artist with the 2010 worship album, “There Is Nobody.” Two years later, he dropped the secular “Feels So Good.” Britt cites his greatest trumpet influence as Miles Davis and Donald Byrd and patterns his vocal delivery after Marvin Gaye, leading to the critically hailed 2016 release “Marvin Meets Miles.” Either as a trumpeter and/or a vocalist, Britt has collaborated with Quincy Jones, David Bowie, Annie Lennox, Josh Groban, Jennifer Lopez and Maxwell.

Dominique Toney Bio

Dominique Toney is a singer, songwriter, and actress from Los Angeles. Her debut album "A Love Like Ours" was in the top 10 selling soul albums on Amazon during it’s debut month, with 3 singles garnering radio airplay across the US. Dominique has performed and toured with Ray Parker Jr., The Blackbyrds, Charles Wright, Reggie Calloway, Nicholas Payton and Gary Bartz. You can catch her on TV shows such as Crazy Ex Girlfriend, Supergirl, and the upcoming Netflix comedy Family Reunion with Loretta Devine and Tia Mowry, as well commercials for Walmart, McDonald’s, Payless Shoes, Dairy Queen, and Atom Tickets with Anna Faris. Besides her passion for acting and music, Dominique is an avid theatre-goer, closet ballroom dancer, amateur gourmet chef, and proud New York University Alum.
